The Elewana Service and Leadership Academy

Our Service and Leadership Program (ESLA) is specifically designed for visiting schools, church groups, and individuals from abroad (U.S., U.K. E.U. and Nairobi environs) wishing to have a service learning or mission experience in a rural Kenyan setting.  The program is customized to fit the needs of the visiting institution and is fundamentally a practical training program in sustainable community development.  Participants receive training in the fundamental aspects of community organizing and community-based development, and then apply that knowledge immediately in the context of a local community.  Partnerships with local students and teachers, church leaders, and/or governement/NGO officials (and the cordial relationships that develop as a result) form the basis for learning and change – both individual and community wide.

Application Process:

Those interested in the ESLA program should contact Zach Drennen, Elewana's Executive Director at his email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
